Gaza shall be forsaken, Ashkelon a desolation, Ashdod driven out at noon-day, and Ekron rooted up . The land will become empty, with no one living there. God made the earth to be inhabited (Isaiah 45:18 ), but when people refuse to serve Him, He can remove them from the land.
