3 Behind ^athe second veil there was a ^{▼▼Or sacred tent}tabernacle which is called the ^cMost Holy Place, 4 having a golden ^{▼▼Or censer
,} ^ealtar of incense and ^fthe ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was ^ga golden jar holding the manna, ^hAaron’s staff which budded, and ⁱthe tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the ^jcherubim of glory ^kovershadowing the ^{▼▼Also called mercy seat; i.e., where blood was sprinkled on the Day of Atonement}atoning cover; but about these things we cannot now speak in detail.

6 Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests ^mare continually entering the ^{▼▼Lit first}outer ^{▼▼Or sacred tent}tabernacle, performing the divine worship, 7 but into ^pthe second, only ^qthe high priest enters ^ronce a year, ^snot without taking blood which he ^toffers for himself and for the ^{▼▼Lit ignorance of the people
,} ^vsins of the people committed in ignorance. 8 ^wThe Holy Spirit is signifying this, ^xthat the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the ^{▼▼Lit first}outer tabernacle is still standing,
