5 So Jesus, after raising His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, *said to ^aPhilip, “Where are we to buy bread so that these people may eat?” 6 But He was saying this only to ^btest him, for He Himself knew what He intended to do. 7 ^cPhilip answered Him, “ ^dTwo hundred ^{▼▼The denarius was a day’s wages for a laborer}denarii worth of bread is not enough for them, for each to receive just a little!” 8 One of His ^fdisciples, ^gAndrew, Simon Peter’s brother, *said to Him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two ^hfish; but what are these for so many people?”
