Psalms 40:13-17

13 ^aBe pleased, Lord, to rescue me;
^bHurry, Lord, to help me.
14 May those be ^cashamed and humiliated together
Who ^dseek my ^{▼▼Or soul}life to destroy it;
May those be turned back and dishonored
Who delight ^{▼▼Or to injure me}in my hurt.
15 May those ^gbe ^{▼▼Or desolated}appalled because of their shame
Who ⁱsay to me, “Aha, aha!”
16 ^jMay all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
May those who love Your salvation continually ^ksay,
“The Lord be exalted!”
17 But ^lI am afflicted and needy;
^mMay the Lord be mindful of me.
You are my help and my savior;
Do not delay, my God.
