‏ Luke 24:47-49

24:47  a The Old Testament was the universal proclamation of the Gospel to all the nations: See Isa 42:6  b; 49:6  c; Joel 2:28-32  d; Amos 9:11-12  e; Acts 2:17-21  f; 13:47  g; 15:16-18  h.
24:48  i The primary role of the apostles in the book of Acts was to be witnesses to the fulfillment of Scripture in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus (see Acts 1:8  j).
24:49  k I will send the Holy Spirit: The Old Testament predicted that God would pour out his Spirit on all people (Isa 32:15  l; Jer 31:33  m; Ezek 36:26-27  n; Joel 2:28-32  o). This prediction was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:14-21  p).
