10:52 a The man’s faith was rewarded, and he was healed (literally saved; see 5:23 b, 28 c, 34 d; 6:56 e; Matt 9:22 f; Luke 8:48 g). The healing was performed without touch, in contrast to the healing of the blind man in Mark 8:22-26 h. Bartimaeus followed Jesus (see also 1:18 i; 2:14-15 j; 6:1 k; 8:34 l; 10:21 m, 28 n, 32 o) down the road (cp. 1:2-3 p; 10:32 q).
