9:31  a Jesus continued to seek privacy (see 7:24  b) for teaching the disciples about his coming suffering.

• The Son of Man is going to be betrayed: See 14:10-11  c, 41-45  d.
9:32  e The disciples were still unable to accept Jesus’ teaching concerning his death or to recognize how it fit into God’s plan.
