‏ Philippians 1:20-26

1:21  a dying is even better: For believers, death holds no fear, as death leads directly into the presence of Christ (see 1:23  b; cp. John 5:24  c; 11:25-26  d; Rom 8:38-39  e).
1:23  f I long to go and be with Christ: Death leads believers immediately into the Lord’s presence (cp. 3:20-21  g; 1 Cor 15:20-23  h, 51-52  i; 2 Cor 5:1-8  j; 1 Thes 4:13-17  k).
1:25  l The well-being of the church is more important to Paul than his own desire to be with Christ.

• experience the joy of your faith: Believers are encouraged to find joy even in the midst of suffering (see 4:4  m; John 15:11  n, 20  o; 16:20-24  p; 1 Thes 5:16  q).
