‏ Philippians 2:19-24

Summary for Phil 2:19-24: 2:19-24  a Paul commends Timothy, whom he hopes to send to the Philippians in the near future. Timothy had accompanied Paul on his first trip to Philippi (see Acts 16:1-3  b, 12  c; 17:15  d; 18:5  e; cp. Acts 19:22  f). Timothy stood out as a person whose whole life was sacrificially devoted to what matters to Jesus Christ and to the welfare of his people.
2:23  g What is going to happen to me here possibly refers to the outcome of Paul’s trial.
2:24  h Paul had confidence that he would soon be freed from prison and be able to visit the Philippians (see 1:19  i, 25-26  j).
