‏ 1 Corinthians 16:19-24

Summary for 1Cor 16:19-24: 16:19-24  a As in other letters, Paul greets his friends and gives a benediction. 16:19  b Aquila and Priscilla (Greek Prisca) had previously moved from Corinth to Ephesus, where Paul was writing this letter (cp. Acts 18:1-3  c).

• gather in their home: Aquila and Priscilla later continued this practice in Rome (see Rom 16:3-5  d).
16:20  e a sacred kiss: A kiss on the cheek was a common greeting.
16:21  f Paul takes up the pen and signs the letter in his own handwriting. As was common, Paul used a secretary to write this letter and others (see Rom 16:22  g; Gal 6:11  h; Col 4:18  i; 2 Thes 3:17  j).
16:22  k To be cursed is to be condemned by God (see also Rom 9:3  l; Gal 1:8-9  m).

• Our Lord, come! This phrase was sometimes used in early Christian prayers (see also Rev 22:20  n).
