‏ 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Summary for 1Cor 6:9-11: 6:9-11  a Those who willingly sin have no share in the Kingdom of God. The lives of Christians must reflect the faith they confess. 6:9  b Don’t fool yourselves: Sin is deceptive; believers should not take it lightly, as if it were somehow acceptable (Jer 17:9  c).

• Continuing to indulge unrepentantly in sexual sin indicates a heart that has not been renewed by the Holy Spirit. Sexual sins include adultery (see Exod 20:14  d; Matt 5:27-28  e) and practicing homosexuality (cp. Lev 18:22  f; 20:13  g; Rom 1:26-27  h; 1 Tim 1:10  i).
6:10  j none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God: The repetition of this point (also 6:9  k) emphasizes the severe consequences of living in sin (for similar warnings, see Gal 5:19-21  l; Eph 5:5  m; cp. Col 3:5-6  n).
