As was their custom, the apostles began at the synagogue (see study note on 9:2; cp. 13:5 ^b; 14:1 ^c; 17:1 ^d, 2 ^e, 10 ^f, 17 ^g; 18:4 ^h, 19 ⁱ; 19:8 ^j).
13:15 ^k After the usual Scriptures for the day had been read, one from the books of Moses and the other from the prophets (see Luke 4:16-28 ^l), the officials of the synagogue invited the visitors to speak any word of encouragement for the people.
