‏ Acts 28:23-28

28:23  a Paul explained how Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament hopes for the Kingdom of God, the master theme of Jesus’ own preaching (Mark 1:14-15  b; see Matt 4:12-17  c; Luke 4:14-21  d, 43  e). Referring to the Scriptures, Paul presented the case for Jesus as the promised Messiah.
28:24  f Paul’s all-day message met a mixed response, as it had in other quarters (e.g., 13:40-51  g; 17:11-14  h).
Summary for Acts 28:25-28: 28:25-28  i Paul parted with scriptural words of warning that are often used in the New Testament to explain the Jewish rejection of the gospel (cp. Matt 13:14-15  j; Mark 4:12  k; Luke 8:10  l; John 12:38-40  m; see Rom 11:1-12  n, 25-32  o).
28:28  p Since Jews everywhere had been given an opportunity to accept the faith (13:46  q; see Rom 1:16  r), it was now time for the Gentiles to be offered this salvation.
