2:16 ^h Jews and Gentiles alike are sinners; the Good News requires both Jews and Gentiles to acknowledge that they are sinful (see Rom 2:1-5 ⁱ; 3:1-20 ^j) and in need of God’s grace (Rom 3:21-26 ^k). Peter later demonstrated his agreement with this message (Acts 15:7-11 ^l).
