‏ Galatians 2:18

2:18  a I am a sinner (or lawbreaker): Turning away from faith and back to the law brings a person under the jurisdiction of the law, where all stand under God’s judgment (Rom 3:10-12  b, 23-24  c; see Heb 6:1-8  d), and is itself a serious sin against Christ (Gal 5:2-4  e; cp. Heb 6:4-6  f). See also study note on 2:19.

• if I rebuild: By insisting on keeping Jewish laws concerning food and circumcision (Gal 2:11-13  g).

• Christ tore down the system of law through his death (Eph 2:14-16  h).
