• The Hebrew term (‘amal) that runs throughout Job is translated as “misery/miserable” (3:20 b; 11:16 c; 16:2 d; 20:22 e) or as “trouble” (3:10 f; 4:8 g; 5:6 h, 7 i; 15:35 j).
