Judges 18:9-10
Summary for Judg 18:9-10: 18:9-10 a The language resembles the report following the mission to spy out the land (Num 14:7-8 b; Deut 1:25 c), but the context is sharply different. Joshua and Caleb overcame their fear and acted in faith by remembering the Lord’s promise (cp. Josh 2:9 d, 24 e; 6:2 f; 10:19 g, 30 h). The Danite warriors invoked God’s blessing and recognized the value of the land, but their cocky self-assurance contrasts sharply with the godly faith of Joshua and Caleb.
