Judges 8:27
8:27 a An ephod was normally considered part of the priestly garments (Exod 28:6-30 b); one was also worn by Samuel and David (1 Sam 2:18 c; 2 Sam 6:14 d; 1 Chr 15:27 e). But here, as in Judg 17:5 f and 18:14-18 g, the ephod appears to have been some kind of gold image, which in turn became an object of idolatrous worship.
