Summary for Lev 10:8-10: 10:8-10  a The placement of this instruction suggests that Nadab and Abihu were under the influence of alcohol when they offered “the wrong kind of fire” (10:1  b). Priests were not to drink anything that could impair their judgment before serving in the Tabernacle.
