Revelation of John 5:13-14
5:13 a The second antiphonal response resounds from every creature, even those under the earth (the place of the dead) and in the sea (usually associated with evil), possibly implying a mandatory response even by those in rebellion against God (Isa 45:23-25 b; Rom 14:11 c; Phil 2:10-11 d).5:14 e The dramatic introduction of the Lamb (5:1-14 f) closes with the living beings (4:6-9 g). Their Amen affirms the truth of what John had seen, as the twenty-four elders prostrate themselves in worship.
