The Report of the Guard11While they were going, behold, some of pthe guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. 12And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers 13and said, “Tell people, q‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ 14And if this comes to rthe governor’s ears, we will ssatisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” 15So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews tto this day.
The Great Commission16Now the eleven disciples uwent to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17And when they saw him they vworshiped him, but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and said to them, w“All authority xin heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 yGo therefore and zmake disciples of aaall nations abbaptizing them acin ▼
