176I have a  gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant,

Isaiah 53:6

6 e  All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;

Isaiah 59:7-8

and they are swift to shed innocent blood;
their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
desolation and destruction are in their highways.

h  no one who treads on them knows peace.

Isaiah 59:13-15

13transgressing, and denying the  Lord,
and turning back from following our God,
i  speaking oppression and revolt,
conceiving and uttering from the heart lying words.

Judgment and Redemption

14 j  Justice is turned back,
and righteousness stands far away;
for truth has stumbled in the public squares,
and uprightness cannot enter.
15Truth is lacking,
and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
The  Lord saw it, and it displeased him
Hebrew  and it was evil in his eyes

that there was no justice.

Jeremiah 2:13

13for my people have committed two evils:
l  they have forsaken m  me,
the fountain of n  living waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Romans 3:10-12

10as it is written:

o  “None is righteous, no, not one;
11no one understands;
no one seeks for God.

no one does good,
not even one.”
