For the music director. A Psalm of David.

1 In the Lord I atake refuge;
How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your bmountain?

2 “For, behold, the wicked cbend the bow,
They have
Or fixed
eset their arrow on the string
To fshoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

3 “If the gfoundations are destroyed,
What can the righteous do?”

4 The Lord is in His hholy temple; the
Lit Lord, His throne
Lord’s jthrone is in heaven;
His keyes see, His eyelids test the sons of mankind.

5 The Lord ltests the righteous and mthe wicked,
And His soul hates one who loves violence.

6 He will nrain
As in a Gr version; MT snares; Fire and
coals of fire upon the wicked,
pAnd brimstone and qburning wind will be the portion of rtheir cup.

7 For the Lord is srighteous, tHe loves
Or righteous deeds
righteousness;
The upright will vsee His face.
