‏ Psalms 46

God, the Refuge of His People.

For the music director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah,
Possibly for soprano voices

1 God is our brefuge and strength,
A
Lit help easily found
very dready help ein
Or needs
trouble.

2 Therefore we will gnot fear, though hthe earth shakes
And ithe mountains slip into the heart of the
Lit seas
sea;

3 Though its kwaters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah


4 There is a lriver whose streams make the mcity of God happy,
The holy ndwelling places of the Most High.

5 God is oin the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will phelp her
Lit at the turning of the morning
when morning dawns.

6 The
Or Gentiles
nations smade an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He
Lit gave forth
uraised His voice, the earth vquaked.

7 The Lord of armies wis with us;
The God of Jacob is xour stronghold. Selah


8 Come, ybehold the works of the Lord,
Or Which He has inflicted as desolations
Who has inflicted aahorrific events on the earth.

9 He abmakes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He acbreaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He adburns the chariots with fire.

Or Let go, relax
Stop striving and afknow that I am God;
I will be agexalted among the
Or Gentiles
nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”

11 The Lord of armies is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah
