Praise for Jerusalem’s Restoration and Prosperity.

1 ^{▼▼Or Hallelujah!}Praise ^{▼▼Heb Yah}the Lord!
For ^cit is good to sing praises to our God;
For ^{▼▼Or He is delightful}it is pleasant and praise is ^{▼▼Or fitting} ^fbeautiful.
2 The Lord ^gbuilds up Jerusalem;
He ^hgathers the outcasts of Israel.
3 He heals the ⁱbrokenhearted
And ^jbinds up their ^{▼▼Lit pains}wounds.
4 He ^lcounts the number of the stars;
He ^{▼▼Or calls them all by their names} ⁿgives names to all of them.
5 ^oGreat is our Lord and abundant in strength;
His ^punderstanding is ^{▼▼Lit innumerable}infinite.
6 The Lord ^{▼▼Or relieves} ^ssupports the afflicted;
He brings the wicked down to the ground.

7 ^tSing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises to our God on the lyre;
8 It is He who ^ucovers the heavens with clouds,
Who ^vprovides rain for the earth,
Who ^wmakes grass sprout on the mountains.
9 It is He who ^xgives an animal its food,
And feeds ^yyoung ravens that cry.
10 He does not delight in ^{▼▼I.e., as a military asset}the strength of the ^aahorse;
He ^abdoes not take pleasure in the ^{▼▼I.e., as a military asset}legs of a man.
11 The Lord ^adfavors those who fear Him,
^aeThose who wait for His ^{▼▼Or mercy}faithfulness.

12 Praise the Lord, Jerusalem!
Praise your God, Zion!
13 For He has strengthened the ^agbars of your gates;
He has ^ahblessed your sons among you.
14 He ^aimakes ^{▼▼Lit your borders peace}peace in your borders;
He ^aksatisfies you with ^althe ^{▼▼Lit fat}finest of the wheat.
15 He sends His ^ancommand to the earth;
His ^aoword runs very swiftly.
16 He ^{▼▼Lit gives}showers ^aqsnow like wool;
He scatters the ^arfrost like ashes.
17 He hurls His ^asice as fragments;
Who can stand before His ^atcold?
18 He ^ausends His word and makes them melt;
He ^avmakes His wind blow, and the waters flow.
19 He ^awdeclares His words to Jacob,
His ^axstatutes and His judgments to Israel.
20 He ^ayhas not dealt this way with any other nation;
And as for His judgments, ^{▼▼I.e., the other nations}they have ^banot known them.
