‏ Psalms 25

Prayer for Protection, Guidance, and Pardon.

A Psalm of David.

1 To You, Lord, I ^alift up my soul.
2 My God, in You ^bI trust,
Do not let me ^cbe ashamed;
Do not let my ^denemies rejoice over me.
3 Indeed, ^enone of those who wait for You will be ashamed;

Those who ^gdeal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

4 ^hMake me know Your ways, Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in ⁱYour truth and teach me,
For You are the ^jGod of my salvation;
For You I ^kwait all the day.
6 ^lRemember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness,
For they have been ▼

▼Or everlasting

ⁿfrom of old.
7 Do not remember the ^osins of my youth or my wrongdoings;
^pRemember me according to Your faithfulness,
For Your ^qgoodness’ sake, Lord.

8 ^rThe Lord is good and ^supright;
Therefore He ^tinstructs sinners in the way.
9 He ^uleads the ▼

humble in justice,
And He ^wteaches the ▼

humble His way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are ^yfaithfulness and truth
To ^zthose who comply with His covenant and His testimonies.
11 For the ^aasake of Your name, Lord,
^abForgive my wrongdoing, for it is great.

12 Who is the person who ^acfears the Lord?
He will ^adinstruct him in the way he should choose.
13 His soul will ^aedwell in ▼

prosperity,

^aksecret of the Lord is for those who fear Him,

And He will ^ammake them know His covenant.
15 My ^aneyes are continually toward the Lord,
For He will ▼

^aprescue my feet from the net.

16 ^aqTurn to me and be gracious to me,
For I am ^arlonely and afflicted.

The ^attroubles of my heart are enlarged;
Bring me ^auout of my distresses.
18 ^avLook at my misery and my trouble,
And ^awforgive all my sins.
19 Look at my enemies, for they ^axare many,
And they ^ayhate me with violent hatred.
20 ^azGuard my soul and save me;
Do not let me ^babe ashamed, for I take refuge in You.
21 Let ^bbintegrity and uprightness protect me,
For ^bcI wait for You.
22 ^bdRedeem Israel, God,
From all his distress.
