Titus 2
Proclaim Sound Doctrine
1 But as for you, proclaim the things which are fitting for asound doctrine. 2 bOlder men are to be ▼▼Or level-headed
dtemperate, dignified, self-controlled, esound fin faith, in love, in ▼▼Or steadfastness
perseverance. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, hnot malicious gossips nor ienslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, 4so that they may ▼▼Or train
encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5to be sensible, pure, kworkers at home, kind, being lsubject to their own husbands, mso that the word of God will not be dishonored. 6 Likewise urge nthe young men to be ▼▼Or sensible in all things; show
sensible; 7in all things show yourself to be pan example of good deeds, with ▼▼Or soundness; lit uncorruptness
purity in doctrine, dignified, 8sound in speech which is beyond reproach, rso that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us. 9 Urge ▼▼I.e., slaves in first-century Roman culture
tslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not ▼▼Lit contradicting
argumentative, 10not stealing, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of vGod our Savior in every respect. 11 For the grace of God has wappeared, ▼▼Or to all mankind, bringing
ybringing salvation to all people, 12 ▼▼Or disciplining
instructing us to deny ungodliness and aaworldly desires and abto live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner acin the present age, 13looking for the blessed hope and the adappearing of the glory of ▼▼Or the great God and our Savior
afour great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14who aggave Himself for us ahto redeem us from every lawless deed, and to aipurify for Himself a ajpeople for His own possession, akeager for good deeds. 15 These things speak and ▼▼Or encourage
amexhort, and anrebuke with all authority. aoNo one is to disregard you.
